I like to think of them as small rituals that connect with you and your inner child, like writing a letter to the moon. These habits don’t have to be extravagant or time-consuming; they simply invite you to pause and see the world.

Practical tips: Pick habits that resonate with their inner child and personal sense of wonder to make things even more magical.

1. Write Handwritten Letter

When was the last time you wrote a letter by hand? Whether it is to your future self, your friend, or even the moon, writing a handwritten letter can be a great way to spark joy!

It is said that if you have a problem and write it down, you’ve solved half of it already. Here are some letter ideas:

Type of letters: love letter, gratitude letter, forgiving letter, letting go letter (energy releasing)

Write a letter to: the moon, your room/house, your inner child, your body, your ancestors

2. Drink Tea/Coffee from a Fancy Cup (even on casual days)

What’s a better way to romaticize your life? Make yourself the main character of a Hollywood movie! Think of Breakfast at Tiffany’s vibe or dining at a fancy restaurant, but you are Audrey Hepburn!

Try drinking your tea or coffee, or even pop out of a fancy glass like a cocktail or martini. Bring things to the next level by visualizing yourself in a hotel restaurant to fully immerse yourself.

3. Create a “soundtrack of the day” playlist

Music is the best way to switch your mood. If you are feeling a little bit dull, try creating or listening to a pre-made playlist on Spotify or wherever you get your music!

I recommend searching for specific themes or goals like ‘coming out of age movies’, ‘main character moments’ or ‘affirmation pop songs, etc.

4. Say Grace to Your Skincare & Makeup

This is probably one of my favourite ways to incorporate magic into my life. I think of it as a way of expressing gratitude for the products I put on my skin, which makes them even more beneficial to my body.

For example, when I put on hydrating toner, I always say, “Thank you for making my skin so hydrated,” as I apply it. That way, I project my intentions into the product I use with magic!

5. Pick a Random Word of The Day (and use it creatively)

Some of us are not using our free will to our potential. This is it if you want something spontaneous but not too big of a jump from your comfort zone!

Pick any word and try to use it creatively throughout your day! You might wanna use it in a conversation with someone, or if you’re more artistic, you can create a canvas or sculpture that this word reminds you of.

6. Wear Something That Makes You Feel Magical

Remember when we used to wear our princess dresses to the public? Yea, why did we ever stop doing that? Oh right! It’s the fear of judgment from others.

Even though it sounds scary or even a little crazy if I ask you to wear a princess dress outside, no one is stopping you! But as a small step, try wearing something different than usual, like a skirt if you don’t usually wear.

If you’re uncomfortable being out there in public, you can put on your fashion show somewhere comfortable, perhaps your house or your best friend’s place.

7. Read Poetry Out Loud (even to your pet or your plant)

Language carries energy and thus has the power to change your reality. Pick a poetry book and read it out loud, whether to yourself, your pet, or your plants.

As you read it, try to really immerse yourself in the words, feel the meaning and tap into your inner self to see how you react to them. If you’re not much of a poetry person, I recommend practising with affirmations.

8. Say Hello to The Moon Like an Old Friend (no, literally…)

The moon is really your old friend! Think of it this way: your ancestors, childhood self, and favourite celebrity all looked at the same moon. The moon connects us all no matter when or where we exist. She is an old friend.

Next time, when you peek out the window of your car or whenever you see the moon, say hello, talk to her, and listen to her heart for her response. You might even find her in your dreams at night if you’re lucky enough.
