How To Stick To a Morning Routine
How many times have you failed your promise of going to the gym every day or reading 10 pages of a book every night? Routine sticking is the same as building one of those habits; without the proper implementation, you will fail.
For this reason, the easiest way to stick to a routine is by making things accessible. For example, if you work out in the morning, then make this action accessible by laying out your gym clothes the night before.
Moreover, it gets harder to stick to your plan when you lose motivation. So, here are some tips I use to make sure I stay consistent even when I don’t feel like doing so:
Tip 1: What would your “ideal self” do in this situation? For example, Would the ideal version of yourself skip pilates just because she does not feel like doing it today?
Tip 2: Focus on the why, not the how. For example, Focus on why you are doing pilates- because you want that hourglass-shaped body and not focus on how tiring the process could be.
Tip 3: Dream big, start small, begin now. For example, Instead of saying that you will read 1 chapter every day, start small by spending at least 10 minutes reading every day, no matter how many pages you get through.

The 20-20-20 Formula
If you have read the book The 5AM Club before, then you should be familiar with this formula. The author calls the first hour of when you wake up the “victory hour”.
The action you take in this victory hour determines how your day flows, and for best practice, it should be divided into 3 twenty-minute sessions.
The First 20 Minutes (Body)
You should be moving your body to energize yourself for the first 20 minutes of your day. Work out, go jogging or stretch your body to increase dopamine and serotonin levels.
Not only does it grow your energy, it can also help you to focus and increase productivity.
The Second 20 Minutes (Soul)
The second 20-minute session should be spent on reflecting on yourself. Use this time to journal, meditate, plan, or pray to practice gratitude and ground yourself.
Creativity can be boosted, which leads to higher performance while increasing positivity and happiness levels.
The Last 20 Minutes (Mind)
The last 20 minutes of the victory hour is spent learning. Review goals, read books, listen to podcasts, or take an online course. Accelerate confidence and master change.
